1. Ask guests to wear red, white and blue. This will get them in the spirit of the day.
2. Make crafts- make kids crafts or more adult crafts and wear them, use them or just do it for fun!

3. Have your own parade- use the crafts to start your own neighborhood parade. Show off your creations, decorate some bikes, and sing the national anthem at the top of your lungs! Get as many people as possible involved!
4. Patriotic Food- Go “All-American” with the menu. Serve foods such as hamburgers, hot dogs, potato salad, corn on the cob, watermelon, lemonade, kool-aid, apple pie or gelatin desserts made in patriotic colors.
5. Cool down with a water balloon toss. Pair up with someone that you may not know that well and don’t be afraid to toss it. The point is to cool down and get wet!
6. Cap the night off with a small display of fireworks. Make sure that a responsible adult is always lighting the fireworks and that they are not hazardous to the area that you are in.
